Embroidered Lighthouse Quilt with Fish: Fay's Knockout Quilt Top!

Okay, I have a new favorite quilt! Fay is an embroidery wizard who teaches loads of classes at one of my local quilt shop gems, The Smocking Shop. She is also the service tech for my beloved Viking. I have a Designer II machine which I just LOVE!
Anyway, this is her Dali-esque bendy lighthouse quilt. I had to turn the flash off on my camera so you could see the stitching better. That is why it is kind of dark. But you should know the quilt itself is vibrant!
Don't you love the funky swayed lighthouses? I quilted in the land for each lighthouse using pebbles. Then I did a radiating line from each lighthouse for the light disbursement from the top.
The fish have a water background. The outside border got a wave pattern and the sashing received alternating loops. I decided to mimic the bubbles from the fish in the outside border throughout the green sashing. Can you see the over/under bubble loops?
I'm really proud of this quilt top. Fay did a great job and it was a joy to quilt... Hey, Quilted Joy! Wouldn't that be a great name for a company? ;)
