The star itself was made out of a gaggle of fiber types some of which had really stretched out of whack. To say it was a bit of a challenge is an understatement. I ended up having to do a lot more hand work then I originally anticipated and it took MUCH longer than I thought it would. However, her lone star is on the frame and is looking great. She wanted her quilt done custom; many times I know exactly what I'm going to do on a quilt before I load it. But with Debbie's I loaded it up and waited for it to speak to me. The center star relied on continuous curves and vines that grow out into the star points. Debbie picked her quilt up today and love it. She told me it will hang in her house. I'm sure it will look lovely!
