Baby Quilts and More from Our Renters
Linda was very confident at her certification class. She wasn’t afraid to try longarm quilting and wasn’t afraid of messing up her project. Her quilt top was simple and that helped her to not be attached. What a perfect environment to be free and learn! Linda practiced the pantograph Periwinkle, which complemented the floral fabric in the center of the quilt. This quilt will be given to Kosair charities for a baby.
Susan pieced her top in a large carpenter’s saw block. It sang with happiness and joy! She quilted this with the Kashmir pantograph, a great beginner friendly pattern. I think the light floral pattern goes perfectly with this girly quilt, don't you? Just like Linda's quilt, a sweet little one will receive this quilt at Kosair hospital.
LuAnn took a class at her guild on making churn dash blocks, and this is the result! The bright colors in this quilt were calling for a vibrant thread. We provide all of our renters with their choice of Omni thread, but they're welcome to bring in other threads as well. LuAnn used a soft pastel variegated thread from Fantastico. Her variegated thread and the Bell Blossom pantograph really sing on this quilt!
Pat's family has a very special tradition every time there's a new addition to the family. They all embroider blocks from designers such as Aunt Martha, each signing their own block, and they are made into a quilt. This quilt is for Pat's great-niece, a very lucky little girl! Everyone embroidered cute animal blocks, the fish was Pat's contribution. And check out Pat's free motion quilting! She echoed around the embroidery and added some curves to the 16 patch blocks.
