Arline's Sunbonnet Sue
Arline made this wonderful Sunbonnet Sue. Don't you just love the little hats in the sashing? Arline also sewed all those buttonhold stitches on Sue by hand! Can you imagine?
I am trying to decide what to put behind all of her little Sue's. The garden theme keeps popping up in my head. Maybe each Sue gets a horizon line with flowers around her as if she is standing in the garden? Maybe I use a floral filler behind each Sue? I believe I'll put a 1/4" outline stitch inside Sue and the bonnets. What do you think? How would you quilt it? :)
