There is nothing better than a big, thick, and heavy quilt on a cold winter morning. But not all quilts are kings. Sometimes our creative muses demand a wall hanging, or a new baby needs a blankie. The problem comes when you account for the two hour minimum rental time. If it only takes you an hour to quilt your little masterpiece, what can be done? Half Square Triangle Quilt Pam designed these two beautiful quilts for a friend. You’ll notice there is writing on the yellow bordered quilt to the right. What a great memento for a wedding, to have the signatures of all who attended memorialized in something you can use everyday. Knowing that she wanted the same backing and the same Heart Fancy pantograph for both, she quilted them back to back without having to reload the machine. That’s a great use of her time. You can see that the top pieced quilt was completed with a meandering line and the bottom plain fabric was a variety of free motion designs.
