We had a group of four friends drive all the way from Bardstown, KY to take their rental certification together. This meant we had a full house with almost every machine running! Normally I won't have this many quilters in for the certification. I learned pretty quickly that with all the new skills we're covering, it's best to keep the class at 1-2 people. But with the help of one of our new teachers, Liz, it's far more manageable to have groups like this come in together. She used the spirals design board. I love this design for baby and toddler quilts. It's gender neutral and a fun design to quilt out! I think the little one who gets this quilt will enjoy tracing the quilting line with his finger. This is actually a whole cloth with the double wedding ring printed onto the fabric and zoo animals at the center of each ring. She used the Toss Up pantograph, one of our newest additions to the pantograph collection. This a beginner friendly floral design that's super girly! I love it when folks use the Square Spiral pantograph on quilts with lots of straight lines in the piecing. This pantograph creates a wonderful contrast to the piecing and adds some eye catching movement to the quilt. She said the little girl getting this quilt is definitely a princess! I think we can all agree the Heart Fancy pantograph was a perfect choice for this quilt!
