Custom Quilting Classes Rescheduled

Inclement weather predictions are forcing us to reschedule today's custom quilting classes to Tuesday March 3rd. Spaces are still available for Sew Easy Background Fillers and Playing with Rulers and Templates, and hopefully the weather will be much better too! :) Both of these classes are great for beginning longarmers who are ready to adventure into custom quilting. You'll learn helpful techniques you can take home and use over and over again on a variety of quilts and on any brand longarm machine. In Sew Easy Background Fillers - Tuesday March 3, 9:30am-12:30pm - you'll learn some new and easy filler designs that will complement any quilt style. See how to make even the most complicated background filler design easy to accomplish. In this hands on class we'll have fabric loaded on all of our longarm machines with a maximum of two students per table. You can choose to have a tote bag panel loaded to the frame ready for you to quilt with your new background fillers for a kit fee of $15. The tote fabric will have a pre-quilted center on Super Stable interfacing. We'll fill in around the motif with versatile background designs that you'll love using in the future.
Playing with Rulers and Templates for the Beginner - Tuesday March 3, 1:30-4:30pm - will have you exploring a variety of longarm rulers and how to use them to break down a quilt top into smaller sections for spectacular results. We'll start with Stitch-in-the-Ditch quilting and work up to scallops, swags, curved cross-hatching, piano keys, and other ways to use rulers for eye popping results. Then, we'll pump up the volume by using our rulers as spines to create containers to hold free motion designs.
