The next quilt mounted on the frame is a GIANT 117″ square basket quilt. This one is custom too so it will take me a very long time.
An interesting aspect of this quilt is that the basket blocks share the same background fabric as the setting blocks with no sashing. So, the baskets are floating on the same space as those setting squares. I’ll need to visually connect those the motifs used in the baskets and the setting squares. I plan on doing that by crossing over the seams and allowing the motifs from the baskets to flow into the space the setting squares occupy. I don’t know when I’ll come up for air but this quilt is going to be beautiful!
