Love of Quilting Run for the Rosies Quilt Kit

The Run for the Rosies Quilt Kit was designed by Angela Huffman. In her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, everyone stops to watch the Kentucky Derby, where the world’s best thoroughbred horses race to the finish line. To commemorate that spectacular event, Angela designed this quilt featuring sweet Rosebud blocks. Of course, with the roses come the thorns! This thorn-inspired border, though, is soft and sweet.

Fabric yardage in the kit includes Bellerose for Timeless Treasures as well as fabrics from Makower UK and Benartex. 

The yardage included in the Run for the Roses Quilt Kit consists of:

• • 2 1/2 yards light grey print for background: Wave Texture Light Grey from Benartex.
  • 1/2 yard light pink print: Bellerose Blush Packed Roses 
  • 1/8 yard dark pink print: Bellerose Fuchsia Packed Petals
  • 3/8 yard floral print: Bellerose Multi Large Packed Roses
  • 7/8 yard medium pink print: Bellerose Fuchsia Packed Roses
  • 5/8 yard medium green tonal: Makower Linen Texture Moss
  • 1 Fat Eighth dark green tonal: Canvas Pine Needle 
  • 1yard pink and white stripe for binding

Finished quilt is 57" x 57".
