Glide is a 40wt polyester thread from Fil-Tec. The thread is made with Advanced Trilobal Technology that allows it to maintain consistent tension throughout each and every spool. The results are high quality, consistent stitch formation, fewer thread breaks, and fewer machine stops. The thread runs virtually lint-free and has a wonderful eye-catching sheen.

Use it for machine quilting or machine embroidery. It will work equally well doing either or both.

I started buying Glide thread a couple of years after starting machine embroidery. I wasn’t initially familiar with the brand due to my LQS selling a different popular brand of embroidery thread. There is a lot of hype around this other thread, so I figured it must be the best. My Baby Lock Solaris 2 didn’t care for that other popular brand. I started making a switch to Glide and I NEVER have issues with Glide thread. I had the privilege, last year, of touring a very popular designer’s warehouse and as we took the tour, our tour guide mentioned that of every sample they stitch out, on every kind of machine, Glide thread was the BEST! I think I’ve purchased, or almost purchased every color from Quilted Joy as their prices are phenomenal and I’ve never had an order wrong! That’s pretty amazing when you’re order close to 30 spools of thread each order! Quilted Joy, you are definitely my go-to for Glide thread!
