The directions are good. The diagrams to follow are VERY difficult to read and you have to figure out each separate step and where it is placed. Each step needs a separate diagram so it's crystal clear where to place things. I almost gave up several times but didn't since it's a birthday gift for my grand-daughter. I would not recommend this unless you are an extremely confident sewer and can figure things out.
