This Wednesday is the monthly meeting of the Ohio Valley Long Arm Guild. Might you be able to come? This month we'll be talking about Studio Organization. Come to the meeting with an example (you can bring it or just talk about it), of some way of organizing something in your sewing room. Maybe you have a way of organizing your paper patterns? Maybe you have a way to get all those rulers under control? Maybe you have a way of keeping your bobbins under control? Come ready to share an organizational tip and don't forget to bring show & tell. We also have a time where you can show off a flimsie (an unquilted top) and get other's opinions on how they would quilt it. We meet from 10-11:30ish at the APQS Showroom in Louisville.

design wall before

I'm in the process of installing the design wall in the classroom. I've got the insulation boards, the adhesive spray and the double nap neutral flannel. I'll be installing it on one side of the cubbies. I think I need to install it so that if the cubbies need to be moved out of the way (say, for the upcoming Karen McTavish lecture), the design wall is not connected to the other cubby too. In other words, each cubby structure's design wall is independent of the other cubby structure's design wall. What do you think? Have you built a design wall? How did you do it? What is it covered in? Let's hear about it in the comments!
