Full Class for the Judi Madsen Machine Quilting Camp at Quilted Joy

Last week, Judi Madsen visited Quilted Joy to teach for four very busy days. She arrived in the middle of a storm system that brought severe thunderstorms, heavy rain and tornadoes, weather that they do NOT see in Utah - what a welcome! Judi taught eight different classes over two days, then did it all over again for a second set of students. Specific topics ranged from custom borders to background fills to addressing sampler quilts.

During her workshop, Judi demonstrated extensively on our Freddie, showed slides of many of her customer quilts, and drew on a whiteboard to teach specific motifs. If you want to learn more about her customer quilts, check out her blog Green Fairy Quilts. Just make sure you set aside plenty of time. You'll be sucked in by her gorgeous quilts and you'll easily spend hours there. Angela Huffman and Judi Madsen

We'd also like to thank Amy, Judi's sister, who fulfilled the roles of travel companion, handout distributor, merchant, quilt model manager, and straightman during the four days of classes. Amy did a great job of keeping everything organized.
