Rainbows and lots of contrasting colors can be fun, but sometimes you just want a pink quilt. These are some creations that are pretty in pink. Lynn's Modified Rail Fence quilt with fun kitty fabrics Lynn made this quilt for her niece. If you look closely, the fabrics have cats on them. I like the use of the Circle design board we have here that you can rent. It’s a nice contrast to the corners and straight lines of her rail fence quilt blocks. And being that it is a “cat” quilt, the circles kind of reminded us of balls of yarn! Nancy's modified rail fence quilt with fun farm fabrics Lynn's sister Nancy also created an adorable rail fence quilt, but with farm fabrics and pink pigs! She used our adorable and super soft Cow print minkee on the back. Zoo Minkee Cow This fabric is my absolute favorite! And it's so cute! It was the perfect backing for Nancy's farm quilt. She chose the pantograph Turbulance to complete this quilt. The swirls remind me of a curly pig tail. What a fun quilt for a little farmer. Beverly's zig zag quilt would be the perfect scrap buster! She quilted this with the meander design board at Quilted Joy. This project doesn’t have a lot of pink, but it is still very pretty. Beverly used a meander design board to complete this project. The meander gives it some fluid movement to go along with the zigzag motion of her quilt top. It was only her second time on the longarm machine, and I think she did a marvelous job. Margie's massive quilt with lots of random squares This lovely creation from Margie is a gift for her daughter. Sewn in strips, it is deceptively complicated. I love how the squares just seem to float there on the background. And I like the contrast of all the different colors on the white background with the soft pink border around it. She chose to finish it with a meander, which I think adds that cuddly texture, while not detracting from the design of her quilt top. It’s a perfect choice. Color can be fun to play with, but having that one dominant color can be very lovely, too.
