I recently moved into a new house and while packing up my old home I found my stash of Love of Quilting magazines from when I started quilting about 20 years ago. As I flipped through the pages I had to laugh a bit. If you had told me then that I would someday co-host the PBS show, Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting.... I'd have told you that you were NUTS! I could never had dreamed that big!

Love of Quilting Magazine, Sept/Oct 2020 featuring Angela Huffman's Forest Jubilee quilt

I've been lucky enough to have many of my quilts featured in the magazine over the years but I've never made the cover. I'm so excited to announce that I'm finally a cover girl!

My quilt, Forest Jubilee, was chosen for the cover of the Sept/Oct edition of Love of Quilting. Even more fun was that I didn't know this was happening. I found out when the mail came and I pulled out the magazine. I think my neighbors heard me hollering. :)

Co-hosting the Love of Quilting show with Sara Gallegos has been a dream come true. We have so much fun together on the show. I also love thinking about the lessons I can bring to show to help our viewers grow their skills. This quilt, Forest Jubilee, was one of those opportunities. The stars in the quilt look like they'd have to be foundation pieced but the whole thing is done with traditional piecing. Cool, right?

If you'd like to get the pattern for this quilt you can find it here in the series download where you'll get all the patterns from the 3500 series. Happy Quilting!
