Over the weekend we held our first Dip, Dye, and Dabble Day Camp, and we had a blast! Pat Sturtzel, our teacher for the weekend, started with the basics of dyeing and put all the beginning dyers at ease. She walked us through the dyeing process one step at a time. We started with simple manipulations which looked a lot like tie-dye, then slowly moved up to color and value gradations. Each morning was a show and tell as we pulled out our fabrics from the previous day to show off the end results. Everyone's fabrics were beautiful and we can't wait to see the quilts made with them! Here are a few pictures from the weekend. For even more go to the Quilted Joy Facebook page!
