Judy's One Block Wonder Quilt
You have to take a look at Judy's luscious One Block Wonder quilt! Isn't it gorgeous?
I like how Judy placed the boldest and brightest fabrics in the center of her quilt and gradually worked out to darker and simpler combinations. It gave her quilt a focal point that allows the eye to slowly travel from the center out to the border.
The biggest challenge to quilting One Block Wonder quilts is the fabrics tend to be a little busy and your quilting is easily lost. After all, what's the point of a One Block Wonder if the prints in your fabrics aren't big, bold, and beautiful?
Judy could have asked me to quilt this with a simple meander, but she wanted something with a little more pizzazz and excitement. We looked through my collection of floral edge to edge designs, and she decided on the Lake Susan Pantograph.
I quilted this with one of my go to gold threads, Glide Dijon. I love this rich golden thread! And it has an amazing shimmer that catches the eye.
I love how Judy's quilt turned out, and I know she's loving it too!
