Living in Kentucky, it’s not uncommon to see University of Kentucky shirts covering T-shirt quilts. Usually they’re made for a recent graduate or young super fans. Linda and her colleagues gathered up their work and UK shirts as a heartwarming gift for a friend in need.
Once of Linda’s coworkers, a true blue Kentucky fan, was recently diagnosed with cancer. Everyone in the office wanted to do something for her, and they decided a quilt to keep her warm during treatments would be a sweet way to remind her of the friends thinking about her in this difficult time. Linda chose a simple white cotton sateen backing fabric so that everyone could sign the back of the quilt too.
I’m sure Linda’s coworker was thrilled with this very thoughtful gift. I’m sending her good thoughts and hoping for a speedy recovery!
