Do you have a stand up quilting machine and would you like to join a an informal group of other longarm quilters?
I’ve been asked by a number of people to host a gathering of machine quilters at the APQS showroom in Louisville, Ky. Of course, all machine brand owners are welcome!
We’ll have our first meeting on Nov 5 at 10am. We’ll decide then how often we’d like to meet and what topics might be of interest. Sometimes, as machine quilters, we don’t get a lot of opportunity to interact in 3D with other longarmers. Don’t think you have a to be in business to come either. I’m sure we’ll have some professional longarmer quilters attend but there will be lots of people who come to chat who own a stand up machine but don’t quilt for others.
So… here are the details….
Bring something for show and tell.
Bring a quilt top for the “How would you quilt this” segment to get input from others on how to tackle a top.
Bring your favorite gadget/tool you like to use when quilting.
Show up at 10am on Nov 5 at the APQS Showroom- 10302 Bluegrass Parkway.
It will be great to meet other machine quilters and find out more about the talent in our region!

Angela, I would love to join the group but will be out of town on that date. How often will you meet and can you send me any information that comes out of the meeting. I can’t wait to see your new shop.

Would love to come. Was making plans but then looked at calendar, can’t come through the week have a 8-5 job, was so hoping it was on the weekend, would drive up from Nashville for a Saturday. Very interested in the group and would drive up but would have to be on the weekend.
