Mary made this quilt for her daughter’s wedding.
She used swatches of clothing she had made for her daughter throughout her life. Plus, many of the other fabrics were from friends who wanted to be a part of the construction of this quilt top.
Mary picked out a continuous curve for the rings and a daisy flower for the center area. It is a big one- a full king sized and Mary did an amazing job keeping all of those bias edges flat and pieced with precision!
I love the sentimentality of this gift and I’m sure her daughter will love it too!

This is a lovely quilt! The sentiment of using her daughter's clothing and adding it to her wedding quilt is a super idea. The quilting is lovely too. I love the symmetry of the daisy pattern.
Thanks, Susan! Some wedding ring quilts call for formal treatment of feathers and such. This quilt was much less formal so the daisy was a better complement. Thanks for stopping by!
Beautiful quilt! There's just something special about DWR's. I haven't had the courage to make one yet! You did a beautiful job quilting it. I hope the daughter appreciates this treasure. I'm sure she will.
I have no doubt it will be a treasure for years to come!
