Look at Sarah’s striking Dessert Sands batik quilt top. Isn’t it gorgeous? Sarah wanted it quilted like it was in the magazine where she got the pattern. It is a bold custom quilting treatment that stands up to the drama of the colors.
My favorite is the leafy feather working its way around the outside border. This feather style is very contemporary and is my new favorite alternative feather. Don’t you love the grace and flair of those leaves?
I used a Rainbows variegated thread to give it some sizzle. I have no doubt I’ll be using this funky leaf feather in the future!
