Becki is a new Kentucky transplant who had this very contemporary quilt she needed done. The color combinations on this top make my eyes keep dancing around as they discover the blocks and all the details!
You’ll find striped fabrics, paisley, tone on tone – you name it! Quilts with this many lovely and different fabrics do well with an all over, edge-to-edge pantograph. It gives the quilt wonderful texture while allowing the fabrics to take center stage.
I used a soft green thread to set off the color palate Becki used. It worked out really well!
I love how the pattern pops out at you as you move away from the quilt top; kind of like an illusion!
A really interesting touch is the striped inner border. Isn’t that neat?
