Description
Getting a square on point in a square is a common enough technique to develop a multiple of blocks. Getting those blocks to be perfectly on point and perfectly center with all the points perfectly … well on point is very challenging and can be time consuming. Now we have the tool. The Large Square Squared is a rotary cutting tool designed to assist you in creating square blocks from one to twelve inches that contain a square on point inside.
The Large Square Squared tool comes in two parts. Part A contains the chart connecting the finished size and the size of the square needed to cut the slightly over-sized triangles needed to sewn around the center square. Once you are done sewing on all the corners, your block will be slightly over sized. You can now use Part B to trim your block to the perfect size. The larger Part B ruler has registration marks allowing you to place the ruler based on your seams. This positions the ruler perfectly to trim your block to the desired dimensions keeping the points of the center square aligned to the future seams.
