Magna-Glide is a pre-wound bobbin from Fil-tec using Glide, the 40 weight polyester thread you already know and trust, and wraps it around their patented magnetic-core. This creates consistent delivery throughout the entire bobbin. No more interruptions for tension adjustments as your bobbin gets smaller. The magnetic-core prevents backlash or over spin and eliminates the need for backlash springs.

Magna-Glides are produced using the top Glide colors, giving you a perfect match on the bottom and top of every piece you stitch.

Due to differences in computer monitors and printers, the colors displayed above may vary slightly from the actual product. We always recommend comparing colors using your Glide Color Card. Looking for a way to keep track of which Glide Thread colors you already own so you aren't buying duplicate colors?

For your Magna-Glide prewound bobbin to work accurately, always insert the magnet down into the case.

Remember to remove the anti-backlash check spring from the metal bobbin case prior to use. Failure to do so may lead to tension problems and thread breaks.

I've recently abandoned my bobbin winder for pre-wound whenever possible and these are my new favorites. They totally live up to their reputation of managing the end-of-wind backlash and I am able to use all of the thread as a result. For the record, I run an M size on my APQS Freedom. The only improvements I would make is to offer them in larger quantities and in more colors.
