Use a wet erase marker to draw on Quilter's Vinyl to audition quilting ideas right on top of the quilt top while it is mounted to your longarm quilting frame or while sitting at your sit down machine. It is 18" wide and is sold by the yard.

I like put painter's tape around the outside edges so I have a clear indication of where the edge of the vinyl is located so I don't accidentally draw off the edge and onto my quilt top. I also label the painter's tape on one side with the word "UP". In this way I know I'll always draw on the "UP" side keeping the "DOWN" side that goes against my quilt tops pristine.

Consider cutting the yard of Quilter's Vinyl in half so you get two 18" x 18" audition vinyls for your studio. Draw some designs with a wet erase marker and wash them off with water and paper towels so you are ready to audition more ideas while at your machine!
