- The Secret of "Oversizing": You will learn the revolutionary method of cutting units slightly larger than needed and trimming them down to the exact millimeter.
- Flawless Point Accuracy: Say goodbye to chopped-off triangle points and mismatched seams; your blocks will fit together perfectly every single time.
- Unlock Your Rulers: If you have expensive specialty rulers sitting in your drawer collecting dust, this course will finally unlock their full potential.
- Design Freedom: By mastering these tools, you will gain the confidence to alter existing patterns, design your own blocks, and streamline your entire cutting process.
For this class we will be exploring a common unit for piecing called the V Block. This unit is commonly made with templates or paper piecing but there is a MUCH easier way with the V Block tool! If you are seeing stars in your future then you have just found your new best friend, the V Block. Making stars is not the only thing the V Block can do to improve your piecing techniques. Once you learn how to use the V Block, you will not go back to those plastic templates you have been tracing and slicing. Or connect a V Block with a half square triangle and watch the curves develop. The possibilities are only limited to your imagination.
Push the use of your V Block® a bit further by learning how to create Sidekicks and High/low units. You will amaze your quilting friends by thinking that you made a difficult unit, when in fact the use of the V Block® made your life so easy.
