Every quilt is unique and can have a unique quilting treatment without the time commitment of show level quilting. In “If You Can Feather You Can Freehand” award winning quilter Bethanne Nemesh takes you through the steps of creating fast and easy free motion quilting motifs. For those still learning to feather, Bethanne begins with the basics of freehand feathers on a longarm quilting machine. One step at a time, she transforms these non-backtracking feathers into leaves, berries, and more! There are more than 50 mix and match designs combined to make blocks, borders, sashing, and edge to edge treatments. Great Illustrations Bethanne explains the process of using free motion techniques in a clearly organized way. Although I still have much to learn, her books have provided me with techniques and ideas that have allowed me to grow as a longarm quilter.

This is my first Bethanne Nemesh book and it is a real treat! I'm thrilled with the beautiful design inspiration and clear instructions that make these designs achievable even for someone like me who doesn't have a lot of art experience but has a big passion for quilting! I would definitely recommend it to both beginning and advanced free motion quilters whether they are quilting on a longarm or domestic sewing machine.
