Kimono thread is a 100 wt. thread from Superior Threads, made from the finest silk sourced from Japanese silkworms. This high quality elegant thread can be used in a variety of applications, including applique, detailed quilting and binding. The single filament 2 ply 100% silk is extremely durable yet delicate, and will not add any extra bulk to your quilting. The dying process used for Kimono thread creates bright bold colors with a beautiful sheen, so your detailed quilting designs will stand out, despite its fine diameter.

Kimono Silk thread can be used for both Longarm and sit-down machine quilting. The recommended needle size is Topstitch #70/10 or Microtex #60/8
