Description

If you love Glide thread, you’ll also love the Glide variegated thread called Affinity! Affinity Thread Mediterranean is a beautiful 40 weight 3-ply trilobal polyester thread. It’s one-inch color-repeats are the perfect touch for when you want to add a little extra pizzaz. Customers rely on the optimum strength of Affinity in fast-pace production environments. Stronger thread translates into fewer thread breaks and less machine downtime.

Affinity is washable, color-fast, and provides superior resistance to abrasion and chemicals. A trustworthy thread you can rely on over the years when longevity matters.

I like to say that it is like a good pair of diamond earrings- it catches the light without being obnoxious about it. The tone on tone variations are wonderful as a background filler where you want to add a little visual interest without overwhelming the eye. Affinity Thread Mediterranean is made by Fil-Tec and is the same high quality as my favorite thread, Glide.

Pretty colors The colors are pretty, but unfortunately the 40wt is too heavy for what I want to do at present. I can't seem to adjust the tension correctly to stop either the Affinity pulling through to the bottom or the bobbin thread from poking through to the top. I'm using 60wt Glide in the bobbin. Perhaps the weight difference is unsurmountable or there is too much stretch in either one of the two threads. I have to keep looking for another thread.
