Quilts can be very functional. They can also be just for beauty. Check out these great works of art that our renters created. Some were blocks of the month, or Row by Row designs, and some are just works of imagination. One thing we know for sure is that they’re all amazing!
Bonnie made this 2017 Row by Row quilt. She used a free motion meander to quilt it. Isn’t it colorful and fun. Definitely lots of ‘Ways to Go’. She even included Quilted Joy’s row! It’s the one with the hot air balloons.
We still have kits and paper patterns for our 2017 row if you’d like to add it to your collection. You can find those here in the shop!
This quilt by Sue was free motion quilted. You can make out the lines in the sky, the outlines in the mountains and the occasional swirl of wind and cloud. She even added rays of sunshine to the sun. It’s quite picturesque.
This last quilt from Colleen is another Row by Row quilt, this time from Washington state. This was actually four rows from four different shops, coordinated to make one beautiful wall hanging. It has me thinking we need one for Kentucky! Imagine all the cool things that we could put on a Kentucky map. She quilted it quickly with a simple free hand meander.
Let fabric be your paint and thread be your pencil and let the imagination flow. You can create true works of art!
