Have you ever attempted to quilt 50 quilts in a day? That’s exactly what the Louisville Nimble Thimbles did last week!
Throughout the year, the guild holds workshops for members of all skill levels to practice their piecing skills. They make hundreds of love covers for the kids at the local children’s hospital every year.
Last week they brought stacks and stacks of those quilts to the studio for a day of quilting! Backing fabric was sewn together, one after the other, and we loaded 6 of the APQS machines with fabric.
Over the course of the day we meander quilted about 50 quilts, including a full sized quilt of valor!
And because 50 quilts in a day isn’t enough, there was a whole group of ladies in the classroom cutting and prepping fabric for even more quilts!
