If you are new to ruler work, you can be so intimidated trying to control both your hands, the ruler and the machine. Well… let me introduce you to a whole new concept in rulers! I’m so excited to share these two videos with you. The first one shows how to use these new great rulers on a stand up machine. The second video shows how to use them on a sit down machine.  Go watch the videos and then take a look at these rulers over in the shop! You can buy them as a combo pack or individually.

  1. On your Viking it looks like you don’t have a hopping foot. My Pfaff only has hopping feet so it is very hard to use rulers. How thick is your ruler and will it work with a hopping foot (not a high profile foot like you have on the mid arm)?

    1. You are right, Peggy. Sit down machines do not have hopping feet. I was using it with my Viking and a darning foot. It works fine. I only mentioned hopping feet for those who own sit down longarm machines.

I hope that makes things clear. Thanks for stopping by!

  2. You mention in the video that the sticky strip on these rulers is “rubber.” Is it natural rubber latex or is it a synthetic rubber-like substance? I’m fatally allergic to natural rubber latex. I’d like to get these rulers, but need to know the content. Thanks.
