This is going to be so FUN!

Sometimes those small spaces on a quilt can be challenging to fill. In this hands on longarm machine class we’ll learn 10 different ways to quilt small sashing spaces. This class will be limited two students per APQS longarm machine. Fabric, batting, thread and backing will be loaded and ready for you on the longarm machines so that you can focus on just learning designs. We will start by doodling our designs then we’ll take it to the machines to practice, practice practice. This class is perfect for an experienced beginner and up. Bring something to write with/on and some thread snips.
We will talk about how to select the appropriate sashing designs for a quilt top and show some derivatives of the designs covered in class. Don’t think we’ll only do 10… once we get started there’s no telling how many we’ll work on!

I would be very interested in this class. As a new HQ owner, do I need to attend a separate class to be certified on APQS before being able to attend any of your hands on classes?
Thanks,
Jan
Good question, Jan. You do not need any other certification or any other class to take a hands on longarm class at the showroom. The rental certification class goes into how to load a machine, how to set tension, how to select backing/batting/thread as well as all of the info about how the rental program works and what the guidelines are.
Our hands on classes will have everything preloaded and the tension will be set so you won’t need to have any prior training to take our hands on classes.
I hope that was clear!
