I’m a little hesitant to show you the before photo but you really need to see what I started with to understand how excited I am.
Here’s what the space looked like when I started. Those shelves were used to store shoes for the Jazzercise folks who came to this space before me. The shelves were FILTHY! Oh, and the carpet was steam cleaned within an inch of its life and looks incredibly nice now. Can you believe how icky it was? My mom lysoled the shelves and then painted them with 2 coats of white satin paint.

The wall was a butterscotch color. I wanted something with a little ZING. When I opened the can, I got nervous.
But… here it is up on the wall and I’m super happy with it. The color is “Lettuce Green”. I’ve got a bunch of big white polka dot wall stickers to sprinkle across it. I’m in love with how fun and creative it feels. I only did two walls in this color the other two are white walls. Boring but it will be snazzy with quilts hanging on it.

Finally, today my signage went up. The cost for an official over the door lit sign was over $1200. I got to thinking about what would catch the eye of a quilter and came up with this window sticker that is 3′ x 3′. I think that will draw the eye of a quilter MUCH faster than a plain old sign with my logo. What do you think?

Looks wonderful! Can’t wait til it’s finished and I’ll make a trip!
Oh yes….I agree. I would see the quilt block long before I would see the sign. I love the wall color, too. It is going to be a fun place to be. Congrats Angela.
The quilt block is a great idea for your sign. Love watching your updates. How exciting for you. Wishing you much success in your new venture. I guess i will be making a trip to Kentucky!
Love the block in the window. I’d see it a WHOLE lot quicker than the store name. Can’t wait to see your new digs.
