This quilt makes me want to drink something fruity on a sandy beach. Diane made this quilt for a class she taught at one of my local quilt shop gems, The Smocking Shop. She did this as a part of an AccuQuilt class to show off how to use the dies. I recently purchased a Studio cutter and I haven’t had a chance to play with it much except for the die I’m using to make binding.

I’ve been making a lot of binding. 🙂

Diane selected a great pantograph for this quilt called Cascade which has always reminded me of water. She selected a beautiful variegated Rainbows thread called Citrus Cooler. It works well with the colors in the fabrics too.

I’m thinking this quilt would be perfect in a hammock under a palm tree on a breezy, chilly night as the sunsets with a Mai Tai on my hand… .. Ahhhhhhh…. maybe I need a vacation?

I love my quilt! As always, Angela did a fab job. Can’t wait for the next two she will be quilting for me. I agree with her on the need for a nice fancy drink to go along with it……………………maybe I’ll indulge as I’m adding the binding?!?!?!
The material is incredibly intriguing.
