Sarah’s Purse Quilt: The Sequel

Purse quilt in progress, by Angela HuffmanSarah had me do an awesome purse quilt for her a few months ago. She had made it for an auction but loved it so much she had to make one for herself. I didn’t have the flash active on the camera so the colors aren’t as bright as they should be. Believe me, though, this quilt has a host of wonderful bright fabrics!

This pattern is so great. Can’t you just see funky buttons on each of the purses?

I finished all the background fill behind the purses. I used a stipple to push down this white background so the purses could lift up into the batting and take center stage.

I’ll be putting a funky flower in the sashings but I’m unsure what I’m going to do in the outside border just yet.

  1. Do you think Sarah would mind sharing where she got the pattern or the pattern maker? I would love to have that in my pattern library! I love seeing what you are quilting…my new-to-me long arm arrives on Aug 15th. I'm READY!

  2. Hi, Beth! I don't know where she got the pattern but I'll ask her when I see her next. This is the second one she's done and it is a really wonderful quilt that would lend itself to over the top embellishing. FUN!
