Freestyle Meandering and Most Edge to Edge Designs- This is freeform artwork on your quilt. It can be a simple large meander or something more complex like swirls and spirals. It includes stars, flowers, leaves, hearts, etc.  This is our most popular level of quilting.
No marking is involved in this style. Most pantographs are in this category.  Edge to edge designs start at one edge and continue to the other side irregardless of blocks, seams or piecing. This level of quilting adds wonderful texture to the surface of the quilt and allows the piecing to take center stage. You can see more examples of this style of quilting here. We have dozens of patterns many of which can be seen on our Patterns page. Pricing is $0.02 per square inch.
My pricing is based on square inches.  To determine the square inches in your quilt, multiply the length x width.  If your quilt is 85” x 90”, the total square inches are 7650” (85x90=7650 square inches).  Multiply that by the price per square inch to get the total price for quilting.

I know it is confusing.  Call me and we'll work through it together.  (502) 718-7148

Custom- Custom generally has multiple designs in the quilt, i.e. separate designs in blocks, sashing and borders.  It may be necessary to use Blue Markers and/or chalk; Custom stitching is time intensive and therefore more costly. This level of quilting allows me to showcase the top in the best possible way.  (May include turn charge depending on pattern) You can see more examples of this level of quilting here. Pricing starts at $ 0.037 per square inch..
Heirloom- Heirloom quilting is generally for wall hangings, show quilts and keepsake quilts, such as wedding and anniversary quilts.  Designs are made specifically for the quilt.  It may include trapunto, formal feathers, specialty threads, and very small background designs. It will most likely be necessary to use chalk or blue marker.  Heirloom quilting is extremely time consuming and very intensive, therefore it is the most costly.  Pricing for Heirloom quilting starts at $0.05 per square inch.

Here are my pricing categories.  Each quilt is different and after I see your top we can decide which of these levels you would like on your creation. I will honor the love and care you've put in every stitch.
If you have questions about my pricing please contact me by phone (502) 718-7148 or                     .  I would be glad to discuss your quilt with you.  However, I cannot give you a definite price until I see the quilt.  There is no “wrong” way to quilt a top, but sometimes a quilt just seems to demand certain quilting.  After seeing the quilt I may suggest certain quilting, but the decision is up to you.  If you are working within a limited budget please let me know.  I want to work with you within your budget.

Basting- This level is for hand quilters who wish to have their layers prepared for them. Pricing for basting is $.008/sq. in.
Quilts are booked by reservation only and I will need a 50% deposit before I can begin working on your quilt.

I will gladly book your quilting time in advance: call if you want to schedule time, especially if you need the quilt by a certain date. I will call you when your quilt arrives and it is checked in. I will notify you when your quilt is complete and will ship when your payment is received in full.

Semi Custom- This level includes special stitching in two areas (border, sashing, block centers, interior ). This level of quilting is sometimes called "Quilter's Choice". It also includes more difficult pantographs and dense freehand stitching.  You may have one separate border pattern plus allover design or one block design.. (May also include turn charge depending on pattern).  Pricing is be $ 0.03 per square inch.
